Exciting opportunity for a sales professional with selling experience of B2B
products related with the testing industry. A market leader in the manufacture of
advanced laboratory testing equipment is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and
motivated sales engineer.
The position will provide a challenging and varied working environment with the

As a sales engineer, the candidate will combine technical knowledge with sales
skills. Your clients will usually be technical staff from Universities, Public Entities,
Private Labs, Contractors and other companies involved in the civil engineering
and construction industry.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products
• Proactively developing sales leads
• Travelling to visit potential clients
• Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
• Managing and interpreting customer requirements
• Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
• Calculating client quotations
• Negotiating tender and contract terms
• Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
• Meeting regular sales targets
• Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing
and technical events
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client
needs
• Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
You will usually split your time between the office and visiting clients on a regular
basis.
As well as clients, you will also travel to trade shows and conferences regularly.
Initially, you will be expected to gain experience in your field, develop
product/service knowledge, and build your reputation in technical sales.
You will also be expected to continually enhance your expertise through relevant
training courses offered by the company. Gaining professional qualifications is
likely to boost your career prospects as well.
Reporting to:
• Regional Manager
Experience
• Geotechnical engineering and/or pavement design.
• Equipment sales to analytical or scientific laboratories.
• Hydraulic or pneumatic testing systems used for materials testing.
• Sales of instrumentation used in testing or monitoring.
Qualifications
1. 2-3 years of experience in technical sales similar positions
2. Demonstrated experience in:
• sales or use of advanced testing equipment
• administering complex sales processes with long sales cycles.
• managing direct relationships with direct customers and distributors.
3. Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% and work in a global team of
professionals.
4. Fluency in English highly desirable (necessary for the training processes and
communication with the head-office)
5. Driving License B-1
6. Desirable: Technical Engineering (Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or
Electronics Engineering)

salary)
